Bellpost is a wine farm on the West Coast of South Africa. The farm is run by the Thiart family. The main function is growing grapes for bigger cellars. A small portion of the total production is been selected to produce wine under the Bellpost label.
The first wines were produced in 2005 on the farm, from own grown grapes. The production is small, with 15 000 bottles of wine produced annually. The range of wines consist of a Chardonnay, a Chardonnay-base blend, Merlot, Ruby Cabernet and Shiraz.
Bellpost can be reached by the R362 between Vredendal and Lutzville. It is a 300 km drive from Cape Town in a Northern direction.
The wines are available from the farm, wineshops and restaurants in Gauteng and Western Cape.
